Writing as a skillset — Nr. 120

Writing is useful. It enables us to think clearly and structure our thinking.

When I started my blog in 2018, I didn’t have a goal. I know writing is an important skill. So, my blog is a system, not a goal.

Writing is useful. It enables us to think clearly and structure our thinking. We slowly realize what we don’t know when we write, which is often the case.

Writing leads you to research. Writer block is just an indication that we don’t know many things. So, by exposing ourselves to the unknown, we can discover the information.

The more you write, the more comfortable you are in writing. The activity of writing is simple as long as you know your alphabet. Overcoming the fear is hard. The fear of producing lousy writing. The fear of disappointing the reader. This is the hardest part of writing. My writing is not necessarily good. But I’m comfortable.

I’m glad I built the system to write. Now, whenever I have an idea, I can write it down and send it to my team. My team can consume that information at their most convenient time. It’s such a useful skill.

Amateur creatives can’t write well. They often follow popular opinion instead of thinking on their own. Even Leonardo da Vinci spent much time writing something on paper. To capture ideas.

I think you should write. Open up a note and write something. Write it for yourself. Pick a topic or a question. Then write.
